What i learned in my engineering class!

In the course ENCE 200, a programming course, I could discover how to make my own home page and how to use all the commands to make it. At the first time is interesting, but then you ask yourself how it could help you in your major, civil engineering. Well, you also can add some charts with formulas. In this way you can present a nice job about a theory, a problem, or you can show your resume in a nice way. Programming is now a primordial tool, it could help you a lot.

When you took this course, did you already know html, or did you learn html in the course? Or did you use a wysiwyg composer program to create your page?

I also use to say that knowledge doesn't take up space, as so it is better to have it than not to have it.
You never know when you are going to need it.:)

It's great to learn about html because it enables you to do whatever you want on websites. I once tried to learn about that by myself when I was planning to create my own website, but I gave up because it was complicated! INTRODUCTION

My name is Flavia. I'm from Lima, Peru (South America). I am a undergraduate student of civil engineering. I studied that at the Catholc University of Peru for 4 years. If i had stayed in PEru, I could have goten my degree at the end of 2005. However, you never know what is going to happen. I have been in the USA for almost 2 years. I did not intend to complete my studies here, but due to my father's work and a personal healthe prblem, I came here. I'm 26 years old. This may be unusual for an undergraduate student, but that is how it has turned out. Now, I am here trying to realize my goal, to get my degree. It is strange how a life can change so suddenly. You can make plans, but you will never know what life has prepare for you.

WELCOME to the CHANG DINASTY!!

Hi, maybe you should ask yourself why I'm using the word dragon, chang and dinasty in my blog. Well, the answer is simple, I have a chinese background. My great-grandfather was chinese. For that reason my second last name is Chang. In Peru we have two last names, the first is from your father and the second is from your mother. I like the asian culture, maybe because it is my blood or maybe because I'm a crazy dragon. That animal is a symbol of force and power. Everybody need a source of power, and for me that source is the dragon. Now, you are asking why phoenix. Well, what do you know about phoenix? It is a special bird that can die and then revive, but with more energy, with a new spirit and with a new soul. If you start to think about that and make a relation with our lives, you can figure out that each period that we pass in our lives is like one phoenix's life. When you tried to leave the past and start again, it is like to die and revive again. My way to see the new changes that we make in our lives is with this metaphor of the phoenix. Being a Phoenix and being a Dragon is the best combination.
